Warming up the cryostat and unloading a sample

1. On the cryostat screen, start bringing the cryostate to room temperature by selecting Actions / Sample exchange
2. Wait until the cryostat stabilizes to room temperature (~293 K)
3. Connect the  nitrogen gun to the inlet
4. Unscrew the outer bolts on the cryostat base
5. Open both valves with the integrated screen
6. Slowly pump nitrogen in, until you hear the shroud popping.
7. Remove the four screws at the shroud base
8. (Requires two people) Take the tower off and place it on the clean gray pedestal
9. Remove the screws from the inner shroud
10. Remove the objective and store it in its cup
11. Unload the sample

Loading a sample and cooling the cryostat

1. Place some grease on the sample holder and place the new sample
2. Put the objective back
3. Place the inner shroud and screw it in place
4. (Requires two people) Place the outer shroud back and screw it in place
5. (Recommended) Flush the chamber up to three times
6. Select Actions -> Base temperature
7. Check that the pressure drops to ${10}^{-3}$ mbar within ~30 minutes.
