ANDOR Kymera
Spectrometer model: ANDOR Kymera ?
Camera model: iDus InGaAs ?
Instructions for operation:
-
Plug in the camera to the socket
-
Turn on the spectrometer and wait for the initialization to be done
-
Start the software (Andor SOLID 64-bit)
-
Check that the temperature is decreasing. It should go down to -60 °C
-
Use the software
When switching off:
-
Close the software
-
Wait 10 minutes
-
Unplug the camera and turn off the spectrometer
Instructions for calibration:
-
Turn on the spectrometer and plug in the camera
-
Connect the camera and the spectrometer to the PC via USB
-
Start the software Andor SOLIS 64-bit
-
- Check that the temperature is decreasing. It should go down to -60 °C
-
Select the grating with the highest spectral density (Grating 3) by clicking on the red side of the grating triangle.
-
Connect the calibration light source (OceanOptics CAL-2000)
-
Set the wavelength to 0 by double clicking on the central wavelength; this way, the spectrometer acts as a mirror.
-
Adjust the detector offset to align the peak with the red line
-
Set the wavelength to one of the peaks, and adjust the grating offset to shift the peak to the correct wavelength.
-
Run a stiched scan and check the remaining main peaks of the light source
-
Repeat the procedure for the other gratings.
