ANDOR Kymera

Spectrometer model: ANDOR Kymera ?

Camera model: iDus InGaAs ?

Instructions for operation:

  1. Plug in the camera to the socket

  2. Turn on the spectrometer and wait for the initialization to be done

  3. Start the software (Andor SOLID 64-bit)

  4. Check that the temperature is decreasing. It should go down to -60 °C

  5. Use the software

When switching off:

  1. Close the software

  2. Wait 10 minutes

  3. Unplug the camera and turn off the spectrometer

Instructions for calibration:

  1. Turn on the spectrometer and plug in the camera

  2. Connect the camera and the spectrometer to the PC via USB

  3. Start the software Andor SOLIS 64-bit

    1. Check that the temperature is decreasing. It should go down to -60 °C
  4. Select the grating with the highest spectral density (Grating 3) by clicking on the red side of the grating triangle.

  5. Connect the calibration light source (OceanOptics CAL-2000)

  6. Set the wavelength to 0 by double clicking on the central wavelength; this way, the spectrometer acts as a mirror.

  7. Adjust the detector offset to align the peak with the red line

  8. Set the wavelength to one of the peaks, and adjust the grating offset to shift the peak to the correct wavelength.

  9. Run a stiched scan and check the remaining main peaks of the light source

  10. Repeat the procedure for the other gratings.
